0:07 Today I'm going to give you an idea of what you'll be getting if you get an enclosure from MachMotion. All of the enclosures that we make here at MachMotion are built to order, so this one is going to be representative of what they can look like. But they come in many sizes and shapes, and the drive sizes are different. Some have VFDs, some don’t, some have PLCs. It really just comes down to what you need. But this is a basic layout and what to expect from a MachMotion enclosure.

0:34 All of our enclosures come with a door switch: a lockable door switch here. You turn it off; open it here. This pigtail we have installed for setup and testing. So you can wire in all of your power coming in here to to the door switch—a three phase door switch here—we've got a ground in our neutral. This comes directly over to all of your power and enable circuits here, that your three phase bus—everything like that. This system has our Apollo 3 Motion Controller installed in it. All the wires coming from here go to our outputs. These are the output relays so you can hook up any auxiliary functions or devices from there. The inputs on the Apollo 3 wire into here. I can take the lid off here, and you can see these are all the inputs on the system and then the Apollo 3 communicates with the control through this Ethernet connection. So you just connect the Ethernet cable from here, and run it to the control.

1:33 These are the drives. This is set up for a three access system: these are some of our larger Teco drives but we have Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, lots of different sizes—whatever is appropriate for your application. To actually hook the motors up, all you have to do is plug the encoder cable here, and then wire in the power going to the motor right there. It's pretty much plug and play. Really simple. The drive is already programmed for the motor. As you can see this is a very much plug and play assembly. It's got professional wiring. Everything is labeled. It's put together. You just have to hook up power communication with the control, and the motors for the most part, and any inputs and outputs you have.

2:13 The whole enclosure is a Nema 12 rated fully enclosed enclosure. Everything that MachMotion sells come with a one year warranty, and we also offer free tech support for everything that we sell. So if you have any questions for hook up, setup, hardware questions—anything like that feel free to give us a call, and we’ll help you out with it. I hope that gives you better understanding of what a MachMotion enclosure looks like, and I hope that it helps you understand better how getting an enclosure can speed up and simplify a retrofit process. If you have any other questions feel free to contact us. Go to, and watch our other videos.
