TOYODA GL6A GRINDER RETROFIT

MachMotion has recently provided a turnkey retrofit control package for a Toyoda GL-6A Angle OD Grinder. Pictured here is the original Toyoda GC32 control.

MachMotion arrived onsite to remove the old control system, install the engineered, pre-wired back panel, mounted the new servos and commissioned the machine.

This control system incorporated a shoulder locating probe and acoustic gap/crash detection device into the conversational grinding cycles included on the control.

Included with this control system was a new MachMotion control, Yaskawa servos for the Z, X, and work head, and Yaskawa VFDs.

Here is the machine after the retrofit, but before the sheet metal was re-installed.
