Does Your CNC Router Need an Upgrade?

One of our partners recently purchased this Panel Pro C.R. Onsrud router for near-scrap price because it didn’t have a working CNC control system on it.

Our customer now plans to remove the old CNC control system and install a MachMotion CNC router control. The upgrade package comes with quality 2kW Yaskawa servos with gearboxes to meet their required torque and speed of 1200IPM. The old Kollmorgen servos will be replaced with servos that are in stock in the US to guarantee maximum uptime for the future.

The customer plans to re-use their working 10kW 24000 RPM Colombo Spindle Motor. They may upgrade this spindle motor in the future, but the new Yaskawa VFD will be able to control the new motor perfectly as well.

The upgrade package will also re-use the automatic tool changer (ATC). MachMotion plans to come on-site to do the final commissioning on this machine to make sure it is setup correctly for production.

Don’t waste your money on a new machine if you can find a quality machine that just has an outdated CNC control system. Upgrade your machine controls for a 1/3 of the cost of a new machine.
