IMTS 2018 MachMotion

MachMotion participated in the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago, Illinois from September 10-15, 2018. The 2018 International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) broke records with more than 129,000 attendees, 2,500 exhibiting companies, and almost 1.5 million square feet of exhibiting space. “IMTS 2018 set records because manufacturing technology has grown exponentially since the last show [in 2016],” says Peter R. Eelman, Vice President of Exhibitions & Business Development at AMT – the Association for Manufacturing Technology. “The rapid growth of digital technology, automation and additive manufacturing are especially driving interest. The booming manufacturing economy means visitors have capital and are ready to invest.”

Solidcam and GCH Machinery Booths

MachMotion controls were present in two booths, Solidcam on Level 3 of the East Hall and GCH Machinery on Level 3 of the North Hall. With Solidcam, our control was used to demonstrate high-speed machining using Solidcam’s unique iMachining technology.

With GCH Machinery, our control was paired with a Fanuc robot to demonstrate part automation on an OD cylindrical grinder rebuilt by GCH Machinery. “MachMotion has the unique ability to quickly adapt our control solution to a variety of machine tool types.
